Faith Montaperto-Ward
is a Multi-Media Holistic Artist. In short, she combines the creative arts (Theater, Music, Writing & Studio Art) with the healing modalities (Reiki, Reflexology, & Energy Work) to help others and herself achieve a stronger connection between the mind, body & spirit. Montaperto firmly believes that “creative expression heals.” She works in various mediums including, but not limited to: SINGING & SONGWRITING, VIDEO, THEATER & PERFORMANCE ART, PRINTMAKING & COLLAGE, PICTURE BOOKS, POETRY & CREATIVE WRITING, MIXED-MEDIA, SPECIAL F/X MAKEUP, PHOTOGRAPHY & GRAPHIC ARTS. She enjoys spending time with her family, friends & loved ones, touring, performing & making music, drinking coffee & of course, creating her art. Montaperto was recently a distinguished presenter at the 2010 CT Arts & Sciences Conference, where she presented her creative findings on the healing effects of art and performed her original music. Because of her presentation, she was ultimately awarded an Honarium from ECSU to help defray the costs of publishing her first book of picture poetry, entitled Faeries of the Heart. When she is not performing, Montaperto teaches Art & Theater throughout the state, for the Community Education Program through EASTCONN. She is also a successful singer/songwriter and Co-Hosts the distinguished Open Mic/Listening Room, on the first friday of every month at the Vanilla Bean Cafe in Pomferet, CT. Her artwork has won numerous awards & can be found at various galleries throughout New England and New York. She was recently a featured guest on CT Televison's Artist & Authors Show with Host, Stephanie Summers.
